Subscriptions General Meeting

There will be a SGM to be held in the clubhouse on Monday, 12th may 2008 starting at 7:30 p.m.

Greens

The bore hole work is now complete and the water from it is nowsupplementing our water for the course.

The damage caused by 'vandals' to the 8th green has been repaired and the greenis back in play. Players should be aware that they can takerelief from the repaired areas on the greens under Rule 25 b (iii) as follows:

'If the ball lies on the putting green, the player may lift the ball and place it without penalty at the   nearest point of relief, not nearer the hole and not in a hazard. The nearest point of relief may be off the green.'

The white lines in front of some greens should not be crossed by either buggies or trolleys. The areas in front of greens are protected in this way to prevent the ground from becoming compacted and hard.

The putting green is now out of bunds and has been marked accordingly. members are requested to use the broken tee caddies on the teeing grounds as damage is being caused to cutting blades when the tees are cut.

The net by the 17th tee to provide shelter for players from balls being hit from the 18th tee and from the 16th fairway is now in operation   Players are entitled to a free drop under Rule 24-2 from this immovable obstruction. This rule is displayed in the clubhouse and pro shop.
